In this class (2 hours) you will:

. Learn a new coloring technique with soft pastels. You can teach this new coloring technique to your students which opens them endless possibilities coloring their tiles.

 . Learn to use simple tangles for Ethno style

. Learn to use chalk pencils for shading 

. Explore outstanding embellishing with 3D Paint to accentuate your artwork.

 

 

Prerequisites:

For CZTs only.  English is not my mother tongue so I will talk slowly to you so you can follow easily my instructions. I have taught this project many times even to beginners, please feel free to contact me if you are unsure.

You can teach this new coloring technique  to your students which opens them endless possibilities coloring their tiles.

 

 

Materials required:

Basic Zentangle kit – Black Sakura Micron 01 (if you tend to a heavy hand the Micron PN might be the better option), 2B graphite pencil, tortillon.

Pencil sharpener

1x blank white Zendala

Handout sent by mail after registration

Sakura Gelly Roll Glaze transparent (essential)

Craft knife

Sakura Gelly Roll white 10 or Signo uni ball white broad gelpen

Additional tortillon for white chalk pencil (or Q-Tips)

General´s Pastelchalk dark brown pencil for shading 

Sakura Gelly Roll gold

Soft pastels in 3 colors: dark brown, ocker, yellow

Effect liner gold e.g. Royal Talens art creation, Royal Talens Relief paint or similar brand

If you don´t find soft pastels it should work with other colored chalks too.

 

 

Please note:

I recommend that you use the original Zentangle tiles or the Fabriano Tiepolo 290g Paper cut to size from a larger sheet. This is high quality paper and will give you a much better learning and creative experience.

 

Classes will be taught via Zoom video conferencing. Simply download the free Zoom App onto your iPad, cell phone or computer. I will send you a link to join the meeting. Be sure to make the Zoom connection before we start.
